About Krakow Piano Summer
Krakow Piano Summer is an artistic platform, open to advanced pianists from Poland and abroad who want to experience Krakow’s rich musical tradition. A stay in our city is often the first direct introduction of young artists from the United States, Japan, Chine, France or Germany to Polish history and spirituality. They learn about the great history of Krakow’s artistic past, often discovering that the sources originating from our city created sometimes the cultural circle from which they themselves came.
This program was initiated in 2015 by Adam Wibrowski, a pianist born and educated in Krakow (Music Academy in Krakow, in the class of Prof. Ludwik Stefański).

The Piano traditions of Krakow
Marcelina Czartoryska – a prominent Chopin’s disciple, Władysław Żeleński, Josef Hofmann, Ignace Friedman, Karol Szymanowski, Ignace Jan Paderewski, Halina Czerny-Stefanska…
All those legendary pianists were intimately linked with Krakow. As were many of the world-class artists during the long history of the most beautiful and inspiring city in Poland.
Krakow Piano Summer brings all these traditions to the participants and offers them, in addition to the lessons, masterclasses and special seminars, also the rare opportunity to perform in distinguished historical venues.

Marcelina Czartoryska
